Rowthiram meaning

"Rowthiram" a pure tamil word that we all came to know through "Pudhia Athichudi" which is written by our Mahakavi Bharathiyar... (Rowthiram Pazhagu - Learn to get Anger).

I don't how many of us (Tamilians) studied this Pudhia Athichudi in their school days.

But now the movie "Rowthiram" makes all of us to know meaning of it. Which is nothing but "Anger".

Happy to share the info i know...

  6. Thanks for the details, it is a classic example on stealing Tamil words in creating the Sanskrit Language by the Persians.
In Sanskrit the name for it is "Raudra", they remove/ change the last few letters in Tamil and kept it in the Sanskrit Library.

People who know Sanskrit can see many lootings by Sanskrit Scholars from Tamil Language. Vazhga Tamil, Udal Mannukku Uyir Tamizhukku.

    1. The whole Tamil grammar is based on Sanskrit grammar. You haven't got anything older than Tholkapiyam in Sangam literature. Don't have this Sanskrit antipathy. Even the oldest Tamil classics will mention about nan marai with reverence which is nothing but four Vedas. Read the book " Tamil Nadu, the land of Vedas " by the eminent Dr Nagaswamy. Don't fall for Aryan Dravidian crap.?Aryans are not a race.
